We just went and saw BEDTIME STORIES. It was the funniest movie I've seen in a long time. I walked out of the theater thinking, "I'm so buying that movie when it comes out!" So, if you're looking for something fun to do with your kids (or not), I highly recommend going to see this. You'll be laughing the whole time.

I love my kids...I love my kids...

I love my kids...I love my kids...Do you ever find yourself repeating that phrase over and over and over again? I do, especially with my boys. I have the hardest time getting them to sleep at night. I put them in bed, shut the door, and they think it's time to play. Last night about 10 pm, Andrew came crying and bleeding into my room. Austin had cut the tip of his finger with a pair of scissors. Not just any scissors, but my kitchen shears. Austin's excuse was that Andrew put his finger in the way. In the way of what?!! I didn't know boys could be so violent and destructive and frustrating. There's a reason I call them evil, little monsters (and that's putting it nicely!).

So, tonight we decided to go to McDonalds playland for dinner. We were a couple minutes away, and I could hear Abbie throw up...everywhere. Ugh. We hit drive-thru. On the way home, I got to listen to the boys whine and complain about how bad it smelled (keep in mind Abbie had been snacking on fruity cheerios and milk before we left). I pulled out the carseat with baby still strapped in when we got home. Unfortunately, she managed to get puke all over the seat of my Durango...dang it. Inside the house, I managed to carefully remove her from the carseat, strip her down, and throw her in the tub. That was the easy part. Then I had to figure out how to remove the straps from the carseat, remove the cover, and deal with the chunks (gag!). Once I got all that in the washing machine, I had to go deal with my poor car. I'm hoping it doesn't smell too bad tomorrow. Of course, I had to go change my clothes after that because you can't do all that without some transfer. Yes, I live a glamourous life. Abbie waited until I put her in bed to throw up everywhere again. I can honestly say, I missed Aaron tonight. I could have used someone else on puke duty.

I love my kids...I love being a mom...I love my kids...I love being a mom.....

More party pictures

My baby is one

Abbie's birthday was on Wednesday. I can't believe my baby girl is one already. She weighs 20 lbs. 12 oz. and is 29.5 inches long. The poor, little girl got 7 shots on Friday. Ouch! She had her immunizations plus a flu shot (she starts at All About Kids on December 1, so it seemed like a good idea). She actually has done pretty well. She didn't like it when I took her 5 bandaids off though!

I had her birthday party on Saturday. She dug into her birthday cake before we could even finish singing Happy Birthday to her. It was hilarious!! I've never had a child dig into a birthday cake like that before. She needed no encouragement at all.

All of these cute pictures were taken by my neighbor. He did an incredible job, and I think he had fun taking them too!

Expressions...

The following shots show just how much fun it really was taking family pictures last month. The expression "a picture is worth a thousand words" comes to mind. These expressions prove my kids are not as cute as they look!

Halloween

Another Halloween has come and gone. Interestingly enough, I've decided that it really is fun to dress up for Halloween. My original plan had been for all of us to be jailbirds. Unfortunately, I couldn't find costumes for Ashley and Austin (I had tried ordering them from Oriental Trading Company, but they were out...just my luck). So, my little family consisted of 3 jailbirds, one race car driver (go, Tony Stewart!), and a goth tweener.

We really didn't do much trick-or-treating this year. We mostly went visiting people which was funner. Who needs all that candy anyway! We went to my sister-in-law's tunk-or-treat. It's always fun to hang out with the Heiners...

and the Whitehead pirates!

Once we made it back home from our journeys, my cute little nephews came over to show off their costumes.

More Pumpkins

I'm not a big fan of carving pumpkins. This year I ordered some fun monster pumpkin decorations from Oriental Trading Company. I thought the kids would enjoy that, and I would enjoy the non-mess.

Pumpkins

Pumkins, pumkins everywhere...it must be fall! We went to the Pumpkin Walk on Saturday morning, a Whitehead family tradition. We always have fun walking around, seeing what the creative people come up with. The Pepperidge Farm cookies are always yummy too!

These were some of our favorites.

The boys wore their costumes.

Gotta love the photo ops!!

Abbie had fun riding in the stroller, chewing on her jacket zipper. What a goof!

Family pictures

I was going to take the kids to JC Penny's next month for family pictures, but I thought it might be fun (and cheaper) to have my mom take some pictures while she was here. She loves taking pictures and she has an awesome camera. It seemed like a good idea.

I forgot how much I hate doing family pictures. By the time I actually have everyone ready for pictures, I want to strangle each of my wonderful, little children. Then, they don't sit still and you can't get all of them to look at the camera and smile at the same time. Taking pictures at the park doesn't help either, because all the boys wanted to do was go play. So, they were bribed with lunch at McDonald's and cold, hard cash. That still didn't work very well.

This picture is so Andrew. He has so much energy I just don't know what to do with him!!

All Abbie really wanted to do was yank the bow off her head.

These are some of the better ones.
